CAREERS AT BRIDGEWRX

Help Women Build What's Next—Starting With Us.

BridgeWRX is seeking a Part-Time Editorial & Content Assistant

Contract | 4–5 hours/week initially | Remote with occasional Chicago-area event support
Initial 6-week engagement with potential to expand to 10–12 hours/week in Fall 2026

BridgeWRX is growing, and we’re looking for a creative, organized, detail-oriented Editorial & Content Assistant to help us bring ideas to life—and make sure those ideas reach the people they’re intended to serve.

This is more than a social media posting role. You’ll work directly with founder LaTanya Orr to support an expanding thought leadership platform that includes long-form editorial content, social media, email marketing, audio, events, publishing, and resources designed to help women entrepreneurs build stronger businesses, lead with confidence, and create lasting impact.

If you love great writing, understand how content moves across platforms, notice the details other people miss, and enjoy helping meaningful work gain visibility and engagement, this may be a great fit.

What You’ll Help Us Do

The Editorial & Content Assistant will help manage the weekly publishing and content workflow across the BridgeWRX ecosystem. Responsibilities may include:

  • Format, schedule, and publish articles and posts across LinkedIn, Substack, and the BridgeWRX website

  • Support weekly email marketing and editorial communications

  • Repurpose long-form articles into shorter social posts, quotes, captions, and promotional content

  • Proofread and lightly edit articles, emails, event copy, and other communications for clarity, accuracy, and consistency

  • Coordinate social media publishing across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other approved channels

  • Assist with publishing and organizing audio content such as Before We Cross

  • Support promotion of BridgeWRX experiences including ShiftShop,  Gather & Shift, and other events

  • Maintain and update the editorial/content calendar

  • Organize copy, graphics, audio, media assets, and other materials within the BridgeWRX Editorial Vault

  • Coordinate approved graphics, captions, hashtags, links, and calls to action

  • Monitor social comments, shares, and audience response and flag meaningful opportunities for engagement

  • Track basic content performance and prepare a simple weekly or monthly snapshot of what is resonating

  • Assist with occasional media, public relations, and community outreach

  • Help identify opportunities to thoughtfully extend one piece of content across multiple channels—without simply duplicating it

We’d Love to Meet Someone Who

Is an excellent writer and proofreader with strong attention to detail; highly organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines independently; comfortable working with social media and digital publishing tools; understands that good content should do more than get posted—it should create connection, conversation, or action; and has good editorial instincts around voice, audience, and presentation.

Experience with Canva, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, Wix, Flodesk, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or AI-assisted content tools is helpful. You do not need to know every platform on day one, but you should be digitally confident and willing to learn.

An interest in entrepreneurship, women in business, thought leadership, publishing, leadership development, or community-building is especially welcome.

Content Performance Matters

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the relationship between:

Story → Content → Engagement → Action

We don’t expect every applicant to have a large personal following. We care more about whether you understand how to create content people respond to and how to use basic analytics to learn from that response.

Relevant indicators might include:

engagement rate, reach, comments, shares, saves, clicks, follower or subscriber growth, email sign-ups, event registrations, inquiries, conversions, or another meaningful audience outcome.

Time Commitment

The initial engagement will average approximately 4–5 hours per week for six weeks, with a flexible remote schedule and a brief weekly check-in with the founder.

As BridgeWRX expands its editorial, publishing, audio, and event initiatives this fall, the position may grow to approximately 10–12 hours per week.

Occasional in-person assistance at Chicago-area BridgeWRX events may be requested with advance notice.

Contract Structure

This is a part-time independent contractor position. Compensation will be based on experience and agreed upon before the engagement begins.

To Apply

Please submit:

  • A brief introduction and why this opportunity interests you

  • Your résumé and/or LinkedIn profile

  • A brief explanation of your specific role in the examples you share—such as writing, strategy, design, scheduling, editing, community management, or analytics

  • For social media work, include 1–3 examples of measurable results or engagement when available. This might include reach, engagement rate, comments, shares, saves, follower growth, clicks, registrations, conversions, or another outcome you helped generate.

Personal creator accounts are welcome if they demonstrate skills relevant to the position.

Recent graduates, graduate students, emerging communications professionals, independent creatives, and experienced professionals seeking a small but meaningful contract opportunity are encouraged to apply.
